Puebla, Mexico, March 19, 2013.- Volaris, the airline featuring the most attractive fares and promotions in Mexico, announced during the 2013 Tianguis Turístico event in Puebla, at a reception held in Casa Uriarte, the introduction of new routes and frequencies for the airline, expanding their offering for customers traveling domestically and internationally.
Extending connectivity for Cancun, Volaris will open direct services to the cities of Tijuana, Morelia, Chihuahua, and Ciudad Juárez, in the case of Tijuana-Cancún, with service to start in March, and the other three as of July. With these announcements, Volaris reaffirms their position as a market leader in Cancún.
Likewise, service on the Mazatlán, Sinaloa – Mexico City route was announced as of Thursday, June 6. For Ciudad Juárez, there will also be two new routes for connections with Mexico City and Guadalajara and which are expected to initiate operations on May 30.
Furthermore, the carrier informed of growth in weekly frequencies, on the Puebla – Guadalajara route, which will go from 3 to 5 services a week, with such frequency available as of June. Also, Volaris informed of an extension of the Denver – Mexico City service, which will now remain in place through the summer season, with a Saturday frequency.
Enrique Beltranena, Volaris CEO informed that these openings and increase in frequencies are part of the company’s strategy to establish points of connection in the different cities in the country and respond to the demand generated by customers. Upon opening these new services, Volaris will have an offering from Cancun of 11 domestic destinations. From Mexico City, with the new Mazatlán service, Volaris will total 25 destinations – 15 of these in Mexico and 10 in the US – positioning the carrier as one of the leading ones in the domestic air travel industry.
